Cahiers du Cinéma is the most prestigious and influential film journal ever published. The title translates to ”Notebooks on Cinema” in English. Cahiers du Cinéma was co-founded in France in 1951 by André Bazin, Jacques Doniol-Valcroze, and Joseph-Marie Lo Duca. Originally included amongst its writers: Jacques Rivette, Jean-Luc Godard, Claude Chabrol, and François Truffaut, who went on to become highly influential filmmakers.
